Further to my series of articles about the Transparency Pilot Scheme – it has just been announced that from 29 January 2025, the Transparency Reporting Pilot for financial remedy proceedings is extending to all financial remedy proceedings in all courts. The pilot will also now run until 29 January 2026.
Some modifications to the interim transparency order and final transparency standard order have also been published. Copies attached. https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/ReportingPilot.TransparencyOrder-11December2024.docx
It is evident that the movement towards greater transparency in the family courts for children and financial matters is marching on.
Increased rights for journalists and legal bloggers to report on family law cases will undoubtedly be a factor which strengthens the appeal to clients of settling family law matters outside the court arena.
